After Awakening in 2019, Poland Aims to Increase its Solar Capacity in 2020 Compared to 2019

Poland added a monthly 150 MW from the first day of 2020 through the end of February. After white eagle awakeness in 2019, it is another milestone in the history of the country in the solar energy segment.

Polskie Sieci Elektroenergetyczne (PSE) said this is an increase of 183.2% on an annual basis and by “8.4% in the period I 2020-III 2020”, according to Taiyang News. The country wants to reach 3150 MW of solar photovoltaic capacity by 2022.

According to GlobalData, what’s working for the Polish PV market is the introduction of value-added tax (VAT) reduction for micro-PV systems from 23% to 8% announced by the government in September 2019.

Poland’s market is a new coming market for solar power in the European continent which was first uncovered in the middle of 2019.
