Australia Hostility to Renewable Energy Developers, a Sunset for Solar Power in Australia

Renewable energy developers in Australia face difficulties in order to get approval to connect new projects to the national grid. This has resulted in a pullback to do more projects in Australia. On the other hand, the Morrison government is giving back space to carbon emission technologies including coal. In other words, Coal miners get free ride under Morrison government emissions policies.

According to The Australian, the Morrison government is considering abandoning any plans for adoption of a long-term emissions goal, particularly a commitment to a net-zero emissions target. They would instead look to implement “investment targets” for technologies. This could be heralded by losing tractions of installing large-scale renewable projects across the country.
