As the middle of 2017, China has been in the position of the first and the only country that its cumulative solar PV capacity reached 100 GW. In 2018, it has set another new record, 176.1 GW. This capacity contributed to 2.6% of the total annual electricity generation in 2018 and rose 0.7% compared to 2017.
