Corona virus May Cause The Price of the Solar panels to Fluctuate

Update 18.02.2020: Already there are reports of supply chain disruptions in South Korea, Taiwan and India due to Corona Virus outbreak in China. This is caused by manufacturing delays and supply chain constraints in China says PV-Tech.

Novel corona virus (2019-nCoV) is a new virus outbreak that was first reported from Wuhan, China, on 31 December 2019. This virus has infected more than 20,000 people and the casualty has exceeded 400 peoples in china.

Because of this virus outbreak Chinese government has extended the lunar new year holiday in some of the provinces that include the key manufacturers of solar wafers and module glass.

And this has caused the production of solar wafers and module glass to plummet and it might not return to normal in the immediate future.

The effects of the coronavirus are not very visible yet but the ripples of the virus outbreak will impact the price of solar. It is unlikely to feel the effect immediately but it will affect the prices in the near future.
