
Wood Mackenzie, is global energy research, analysis, and consultancy firm, reported that grid-connected storage deployments have enjoyed a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 74% worldwide in the years 2013 to 2018, with a “boom” in deployment figures expected over the next five years.
“We expect renewables-plus projects to become a popular trend through 2024. This is especially true for solar-plus-storage projects, as the requirement for clean and dispatchable renewables is widely accepted,” Rory McCarthy, another analyst at Wood Mackenzie, said.
