Global Solar PV Installation in 2019 Reaches a High Record – 114GW

Solar PV installation in 2019 reached a new high record, 114.5 GW, globally. It showed that global solar PV installation has grown by 17.5% compared to 2018

According to Wood Mackenzie report, annual installations are expected to rise to around 125 gigawatts per year by the early 2020s. It also gave an estimate that countries with installing capacity between 1 GW and 5 GW annually will be the market’s major growth engine. For example, in 2018, there were seven markets installing between 1 GW and 5 GW; by 2022, Wood Mackenzie predicts there will be 19, with new names including Saudi Arabia, France, and Taiwan.
