Intersolar 2020 was canceled and will be taken place on the same date in 2021

The 29th Intersolar, Intersolar 2020, was canceled by the organizers due to the Coronavirus outbreak. Intersolar, as one of the most important events in the solar industry, is a place for gathering outstanding individuals and companies in the solar energy segment. It includes the related exhibition and conference and also presenting special awards.

The organizers comprise Solar Promotion GmbH, Freiburg Wirtschaft Touristik, Messe GmbH & Co. KG. They have decided to cancel the events for 2020 and hold them again in June 2021, according to Intersolar website. As of now, they have decided to only virtually host the Intersolar Award section. The decision on the conference section is yet to be announced.

The Smart E Europe event which was planned to be held parallel to the Intersolar event, is also set to take place from June 9-11, 2021. The event is the largest fair in Europe dedicated to the solar and energy storage sectors. This year, it was expected to host around 1,400 exhibitors from 45 countries and attract 50,000 visitors from more than 160 countries, according to PV-Magazine.

These actions have been taken to avoid spreading the Coronavirus infections.
