This webinar was about “new market perspectives for large-scale PV installations in Germany”. According to Intersolar news, Germany’s governing coalition agreed in late November 2018 on additional tenders to add 4 gigawatts of onshore wind and 4 gigawatts of solar by 2021. The coalition by Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Union alliance and the Social Democratic Party has mainly taken this measure in order to meet German climate targets in 2020.
Besides, Germany will add another 1.15 GW in special tenders for innovation projects like hybrid PV-Wind or PV-Storage installations during this period.
