McDonald’s decided to supply part of its electricity demand with solar & wind

McDonald, as one of the fast-food giants, signed two power purchase agreements(PPA) which the total capacity of the two projects is expected to reach 380 MW.

According to Mcdonald’s, the investment means is expected to add more renewable energy to the power supply than any other U.S. restaurant company to date. The generated electricity from these two projects is enough to equal more than 2,500 McDonald’s restaurants-worth of electricity.

Moreover, in March 2018, McDonald’s decided to be on the track of reduction in greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by cutting 36% of GHG emissions in its restaurants.
