58%, For N-Type Mono-bifacial Wafer Have Achieved.
One of the Solar Module Super League (SMSL) members, Trina Solar has set a conversion efficiency record, 24.58%, for an i-TOPCon (Industrial Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact) bifacial solar cell using a super-sized 244.62 cm2 wafer.
According to PV-Tech, The record cell was fabricated at Trina Solar’s State Key Laboratory (SKL) of PV Science and Technology (PVST) and independently confirmed by the ISFH CalTeC in Germany.
The advanced i-TOPCon cell deploys a front boron emitter and a rear full-area passivating contact.
