One of the world’s largest solar rooftop installed on Braboune stadium at the Cricket Club of India, in Mumbai. Tata Power has commissioned 820.8kWp for the installation of the solar rooftop project here in Mumbai.
According to Hindu Business Line, It will help to generate over 1.12 million units of electricity per year, which eventually will lead to 25% of the cost savings in power consumption.
At present, on an average, the stadium load consumes 4 lakhs kWh /month, but with the solar installation, on an average basis, the consumption from the grid would fall to approximately 3 lakhs kWh/month. Studies show that CCI will also be able to curb the emission of over 840 tonnes of carbon dioxide annually.
