Global solar energy capacity would increase from approximately 500 GW in 2018 to more than 8000 GW in 2050 with an annual growth rate of 9% ahead. It means that it would only be possible if it were accompanied by changes in policing practice and prosecution policies.
In IRENA’s report, “a roadmap to 2050”, Francesco La Camera, CEO of international renewable energy agency (IRENA) states that renewable energy, especially solar energy will become one of the most important energy sources by 2050.
