The UK needs to increase its storage systems 10-fold to meet its Net-zero Emission Goal

The U.K plans to reach supplying 70-80% of its electricity demand through renewable electricity by 2050. Until recently,  renewables accounted for a quarter of the countries electricity mix. However, the U.K currently has 3 GW storage system, it will need to increase to 30 GW by 2050 if it hopes to meet their goal, net-zero emission through increasing renewables by 2050.
