IRENA webinar series goes on this Tuesday with “Planning for the Renewable Future: Improving the Use & Development of Long-Term Energy Scenarios”.

IRENA team is continuing by exploring the rapidly evolving landscape of long term energy planning practices. The webinar will share insights into IRENA’s Long-term Energy Scenarios (LTES) Campaign and Network which aims to provide a global platform to exchange good practices in the use and the development of clean energy transition scenarios

The webinar also aims to introduce IRENA’s AVRIL program, short for “Addressing Variable Renewables in Long-term Energy Planning”, which aims to support government planning practitioners to adopt practical strategies to represent VRE in long-term modelling of crucial power system requirements, such as firm capacity, system flexibility, and transmission capacity.
